For GST audit covered cases, is it necessary to prepare audited financials for the period July'17 to Mar'18, in additions to audited financials for the whole year.

I think only reconciliation will suffice the requirement.

No , Audited financial for July 17 to March 18 is not separately required , Fy 2017-18 audit is enough . But you should have the provisional figures for April 17 to june 17
