Online applications invited by IDBI from practicing partnership firms of Chartered Accountants
Online applications have been invited by IDBI from practicing partnership firms of Chartered Accountants within India, who are willing to have their firms empanelled as Concurrent Auditors In the said application, the GST No. column is one of the mandatory fields.
The Institute vide its mail dated 9th April, 2018 has taken up the matter with IDBI and in response the mail has been received from IDBI on 17th April, 2018 which is as under:
"CA firms who do not have GST number registration (as the same is not mandatory as per norms), the firm may mention dummy 15 digit alphanumeric details in the relevant column to enable them to submit the profile and accordingly give a declaration to that effect in the profile being uploaded separately that the ‘CA firm is not required to register under GST’. As such, none of the CA firms are being deprived of submitting the application".
