Tata Global Beverages Ltd (TGBL) has tied up with South Indian Green Cardamom Company Ltd (SIGCCL) to help brand and market spices such as cardamom and pepper produced by small planters in Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
On Monday, SIGCCL, a venture founded and run by growers in the Idukki and the high range area of Kerala and adjoining parts of Tamil Nadu, launched its Spice Mist brand of cardamom and pepper in New Delhi. Spice Mist will be marketed by TGBL through its distribution chain across the country in phased manner.The Spice Mist cardamom, launched by Commerce Minister Anand Sharma on Monday, is available in 50-gram pack priced at Rs 115. The packaged cardamom is also available in a sachet for Rs 10 and in packets of 10 gram and 20 gram, priced at Rs 25 and Rs 50, respectively. The 50-gram pepper pack is priced at Rs 42.
