Hiring intentions remain optimistic for the upcoming quarter
Indian employers remain optimistic about hiring in the April to June 2013 quarter, with the strongest prospects in the transportation and utilities sector, according to an employment outlook survey by workforce solutions provider ManpowerGroup. The survey sought responses from 5,370 employers in these sectors: finance, insurance and real estate, manufacturing, mining and construction, wholesale and retail trade and public administration and education and transportation, utilities and services and the forecast was an increase in staffing levels during the second quarter of 2013. Compared with the previous quarter, employers report a 2% improvement in outlook. However a year-over-year comparison shows hiring prospects weaken by 19%.
