Disqualification of Auditor - Tax Audit
Can a practicing chartered accountants under take tax audit assignment of his father-in- laws' proprietorship business? Please explain

No, he also comes under Relative definition.

As per AS 18, Father in law is not a relative but his decision may influnced by his fn father laws and hence his decision may not be true and fair.
I would advise donot sign in such case.
