Can Merging CA firm do attestation work of his client in Old firm name
Suppose Ca firm A& Co. is merging with B&Co. Can A& Co do the attestation work in A& Co. after Merger ?
Please reply with relevant rule/guidelines of ICAI in this regard.

No, once a firm is merged with another firm the merged firm ceased to exist unless the firm demerges as per the ICAI regulations. In this case attestation work can not be done in A & Co. ( assuming B& Co is continued as merged entity)

No. The attestation work can be done only in the name of new firm after merger.

As A& Co. is merging with B&Co so A& Co. can not do the attestation work only B& Co. can do that.
