No. Trading in equity shares comes under speculative transactions. can do options trading of shares, index for self. But intraday trading of equity shares not allowed.

Yes. As per FAQ issued by ICAI, member can do intraday trading for himself. But only in future and options derivatives and not in commodity derivatives. Also, he cannot transact in the name of his proprietorship or partnership firm or not for his client or any other person.
